Food Art !! yammy

Cool macro photos of miniature figurines in landscape of food. impressive work of the French Japanese food photographers Akiko Ida And Pierre Javellee.

Who takes pictures of small toy figures in scenarios set on various foods.
like astronauts exploring the surface of a creme brulee or a man mowing a kiwi!

they are really charming and fun !

Couldn't find their official site ,googled for the names ,and I found this Russian-language blog contains most of their works !
http://legnangel.livejournal.com/564026.html

Although those wonderful images of tiny people on food are not Russian at all !
Took my attention the word Minimiam I I at the top of that page, again googled for the word and I got the link for this project
http://www.minimiam.com
Quite awsome site with very delicious introductory ,where they exhibit their creations surrounding a very peculiar food world , in a very interesting way you can explore their unusual albums ,with the flash techniques.

Minimiam is the official name for their work ,as Mini stands for small or tiny and miam
comes from the word yamiam for something delicious of course !
That's what Akiko Ida answered when she was asked about the name Minimiam ,as I remember from the interview ^^' .

The whole story happened with me two hour ago( I get hungry after it :D) ,on the TV I watched a very nice interview with those two photographers, how an ordinary kitchen table is their secret studio !
How they make money from their art ,by contracting with food/candy productions companies to take photos to make cool appealing advertisements .
